The Powel Crosley Estate on Sarasota Bay — technically on Bradenton's side of the line — is the area's signature wedding venue, a 1929 Mediterranean mansion whose waterfront terrace demands better cloth than a rental bag ever held. Closer in, couples marry on the Riverwalk, at the Bishop Museum's courtyard, and on Anna Maria Island's beaches twenty minutes west, where the sand-and-sunset ceremonies call for linen, half-lined, in the pale range. Groom and groomsmen sittings usually happen at a family home or the Ranch.
